To test the performance of computational methods with different ChIP enrichment, we simulated ChIA-PET and HiChIP datasets as following, firstly, we generated anchor pairs for ChIA-PET and HiChIP with a Poisson model. Secondly, the published ChIP-seq data was used to simulate the ChIP enrichment of data, we calculated ChIP-seq read coverage for the generated anchor pairs, then we set the coverage threshold to filter the final simulated valid pairs.
